Carson Poole
Carson Poole (she/her) received her Masters of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Visual Culture from San José State University. Her area of research is in contemporary digital art, Internet history, and intersectional approaches to contemporary art, technology, and politics. Her scholarship has addressed how the art world has responded to fringe political movements in the United States and Europe, as well as the relationship between artificial intelligence and contemporary art making practice alongside theoretical concerns. At SDSU, she has worked in the History, Art History, and American Indian Studies departments. Carson has given research presentations at several conferences across the United States on topics such as war art, artificial intelligence, and digital art preservation and conservation. She has also worked at the Timken Museum of Art in their Education Department.
